NFL Notes: China, Canada, Bears, Buccaneers, Cowboys & Patriots

China/Canada

  • Tom Pelissero reports that the NFL is still discussing the possibility of hosting a game in China during the 2018 season.
  • According to Pelissero, the NFL would need to make a decision and get two teams committed to playing in the game by end of this year for this to work.
  • Pelissero adds that the NFL is considering the idea of holding one of their regional combines in Canada.

Bears

  • In a pregame interview on Sunday, Bears GM Ryan Pace mentioned that they are “eyeballing” Week 13 as a possible return for WR Kevin White (leg, injured reserve). (Adam Hoge)

Buccaneers

  • According to Rick Stroud, Buccaneers veteran WR Vincent Jackson sustained a knee injury during the team’s win over the Panthers and is currently being further evaluated.

Cowboys

  • On Tuesday, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said of the team’s quarterback situation: “There’s no timetable to determine when Tony Romo will return as the Cowboys’ starting quarterback. It’s a great situation.” (Jon Machota)

Patriots

  • Patriots HC Bill Belichick mentioned that RB Dion Lewis and G Tre’ Jackson, who are both on the PUP list, “probably” won’t start practicing this week. (Jim McBride)
