NFL Notes: Colts, Cowboys, Dolphins, Ravens

Colts

Colts HC Chuck Pagano told reporters on Tuesday that QB Andrew Luck (shoulder) is still without a timeline for a return.

“We are where we are with that,” Pagano said, via ESPN.com. “There’s no timeline. When they say he’s healthy and ready to go, we’ll get him out there. He’s played a lot of football.”

Cowboys

  • Todd Archer of ESPN writes that wonders if the Cowboys are showcasing Alfred Morris for a potential trade after they had him take over for Darren McFadden after a few series in the Hall of Fame game.
  • With OL Chaz Green dealing with a shoulder injury, Archer writes that Byron Bell could be in position to get a look at left guard along with Jonathan Cooper.
  • Cowboys QB Cooper Rush put together a decent showing in the Hall of Fame game and Archer mentions that he may have put himself in a position to secure a spot on the practice squad next month.

Dolphins

Dolphins WR Jarvis Landry responded to the news that there’s an ongoing investigation into a domestic incident that occurred back in January on Tuesday.

I’ve been very upfront with the team,” Landry said, via the Palm Beach Post. “I’ve been very upfront with the law enforcement. I’m here at training camp to help my guys get better. I don’t want any bad attention to me, this organization, Adam [Gase], nobody. And I don’t believe that this is the place for it or the time for it.”

Landry’s girlfriend, Estrella Cerqueira, released a statement Monday saying that she was not physically harmed and did not call police regarding the matter.

Ravens

The Ravens recently agreed to a three-year, $15 million with veteran OT Austin Howard. However, he has yet to take part in practice for the team.

On Tuesday, Harbaugh said things are currently in the hands of the team’s medical staff.

“Just like I said yesterday, the same answer as yesterday — it’s in the trainer’s hands,” Harbaugh said, via Jamison Hensley of ESPN. “…I don’t have any expectations for that kind of stuff. You try to do what’s best for the players and what’s best for the guys and getting them ready to play. That’s in their hands. That’s in their ballpark.

It’s worth mentioning that Howard underwent shoulder surgery this offseason.
