- QB Michael Vick was benched in favor of Geno Smith in the third quarter of Monday night’s blowout loss to the Bills.
- HC Rex Ryan said that he expects to be the Jets’ head coach for the remainder of the season.
“One thing I know for a fact, unless it changes drastically, is I will be the head coach here for the next five weeks,” Ryan said, per Mike Garafolo.
Texans
- The Houston Texans will receive a seventh-round pick from the Patriots in return for QB Ryan Mallett prevent him from reaching the playtime requirements of the trade. (Mike Reiss)
