NFL Notes: Colts, Falcons, Ravens, Redskins, Scot McCloughan

Colts

  • While confirming reports that the Colts have hired Jets college director Rex Hogan and are expected to do the same with Seahawks executive Ed Dodd, Albert Breer mentions that they will be co-vice presidents of player personnel.

Falcons

  • The Atlanta Falcons announced that they’ve officially signed fourth-round G Sean Harlow and fifth-round S Damontae Kazee to four-year contracts on Tuesday.

Ravens

  • Jeff Zrebiec reports that the Ravens are planning to sign tryout S Casey De’Andrade (New Hampshire) to a contract.

Redskins

Former Redskins GM Scot McCloughan mentioned during an appearance on that he doesn’t hold any grudge against his former employer, despite all that transpired this offseason.

There’s good players there, and there’s good character there, there’s good chemistry there,” McCloughan told Grant Paulsen and Danny Rouhier of the “Grant and Danny show,” via the Washington Post. “And that’s what I tried to build and build and build. I wish I could have been here longer to see it come to fruition, but I can’t, so it is what it is. But still, I’m gonna pull for them. I don’t have any grudge. It is what it is. Again, it’s a marriage that didn’t work.

McCloughan did, however, say that they mutually parted ways.

“You know, it’s too bad what happened here, but it was mutual. And there’s a lot of good people in this organization, from the ownership down throughout the whole building,” McCloughan said. “Players, coaches and [owner] Dan [Snyder] [were] nothing but great to us. It just didn’t work out. And as you guys are well aware, it’s a big business and it just didn’t work out. I hate leaving there because I’ve got so many close friends, not just guys that I drafted but there’s a lot of good people.”
