Browns

Browns HC Hue Jackson told reporters after Sunday’s game that rookie QB DeShone Kizer is “starting to get it” and showing signs of the quarterback they believe he can be.

“He was firing up the offense, the defense and the special teams,” Jackson said, via Cleveland.com. “He was in the game, so the lessons and the conversations that we’ve had, they’re catching on. To me, that’s a good sign. And again, he’s a young player. A young player that’s working at this and trying to get better, but I saw a better version of him today. Is it perfect? No. But I see a guy who is starting to get it and that’s huge.”

Falcons

  • Falcons DE DE Adrian Clayborn produced a staggering six sacks on Sunday and ultimately earned himself $750,000 in incentives for reaching eight total sacks on the season. (Adam Schefter)
  • Clayborn is now two sacks away from earning another $1.25 million in incentive-based pay.

Jets

  • Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that the University of Tennessee has expressed interest in Jets defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers for their head-coaching vacancy.
  • Rodgers actually played four seasons at Tennessee from 1988-91.
