NFC Notes: 49ers, Cowboys, Falcons, & Seahawks

49ers

49ers HC Jim Tomsula said that RT Anthony Davis, who stepped away from the game several months ago, is in the “offseason discussion.”

“I just keep up with the guys that are here,” Tomsula said, via CSN Bay Area. “We’re in-season, and I keep up with the guys that are here. And 100 percent of what I have is with the guys that are here.

“That’s an offseason discussion.”

Cowboys

Cowboys CB Morris Claiborne said he will not play in Week 16, due to a lingering hamstring injury that he sustained during Week 14.

I was looking forward to playing this week, but as the week went on, it just wasn’t’ getting better,” Claiborne said, via Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News. “I’m just going to try it over next week, see how it is next week.”

Falcons

Falcons MLB Paul Worrilow expects to play in Week 16 with no issues, despite experience swelling in his knee throughout the week.

Just a bunch of swelling; no ligament damage or anything,” Worrilow said, via Vaughn McClure of ESPN. “It’s just a weird case, man, with the swelling just coming and coming. It just limited me where I wasn’t able to move around and capable enough to go out there and perform and help the team.”

Worrilow has been out of the starting lineup since Week 14 with the injury.

Seahawks

  • Seahawks announced that WR Doug Baldwin (hamstring) could be a gametime decision for Week 16, while the team is taking a “wait and see” approach with OT Russell Okung (calf) and S Kam Chancellor (pelvis).
  • Bob Condotta notes that the Seahawks only have four receivers eligible to play in Week 16, so he expects them to make a move by Saturday.
