NFL Notes: Cowboys, Falcons, Lions, Rams & Saints

Cowboys

• Ed Werder of ESPN reports that the Cowboys will not sign another runningback, despite the season-ending knee injury that Lance Dunbar sustained in Week 4.

Falcons

WR Roddy White insisted that he is not upset with his diminished role in the Falcons’ offense.

“This is nothing to get mad over,” White said, via D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “I can’t control no plays that are being called in the huddle. All I can do is run the routes I’m supposed to run on the play and do my job. That’s all I can do.”

Though it appears that Leonard Hankerson has overtaken White for the No. 2 role, he is not worried about the little production he has made this season.

“I know that I’m going to get my chances because of how people are going to play us,” White said. “(Doubling Julio is) the only chance that people have in playing us. I’m going to get the ball. I’m not really concerned.”

So far this season, White has compiled just six receptions for 92 total yards.

Lions

• According to Adam Caplan, TE Brandon Pettigrew will return to practice this week and is expected to play in Week 5, if he has no setbacks in his recovery from his hamstring injury.

Rams

• HC Jeff Fisher confirmed that LB Alec Ogletree will be out at least eight weeks after sustaining a broken fibula. (Jim Thomas)
• Fisher continued to say that Ogletree will not be placed on the season-ending injured reserve, but that does not translate to him returning at a quicker time. (Nick Wagoner)

Saints

• Saints signed undrafted free agent WR Reggie Bell to their practice squad. (Aaron Wilson)
• Saints worked out four punters on Tuesday, including: Steven Clark, Brandon Fields, Robert Malone and Brian Moorman. (Howard Balzer)
