NFL Notes: Cowboys, Giants, Jaguars, & Packers

Cowboys

According to Bob Sturm of the Dallas Morning News, there are vibes at Valley Ranch that indicate a “growing frustrating level” from the Cowboys in regards to suspended ILB Rolando McClain.

At this point in time, Sturm assumes that McClain won’t be with the Cowboys for the duration of the 2015 season.

He is so good, but at times, his name gets eye rolls from those on the inside,” Sturm writes of McClain.

Giants

Giants QB Eli Manning said that he hasn’t spoken to DE Jason Pierre-Paul since he lost a finger in a fireworks accident, but he’s hoping he’ll be able to have the same kind of impact for their defense this year.

“Obviously (Pierre-Paul) is an important player,” Manning said, via the New Orleans Times-Picayune. “He is a force on the defensive side, so hopefully everything gets healed up and healthy, and he’s able to continue playing football at a high level.

I don’t know the whole story of how it all happened, but you never want to see any professional athletes get injured, especially in a way that probably could have been avoided,” Manning said.

Jaguars & Packers

  • Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union expects Jaguars owner Shad Khan to announce a new four-year agreement to play one home a year in London.
  • O’Halloran seems to think their 2016 game in London will be against the Green Bay Packers.
