NFL Notes: Cowboys, Jets, Redskins, Saints, Titans, & Vikings

 

Cowboys

• Free agent acquisition DT Henry Melton is expected to miss at least a few days due to a groin injury. (Charean Williams)

Jets

• The Jets are reportedly expecting CB Dee Milliner to miss 3-4 weeks with a high-ankle sprain, which could leave him in question for the start of the season. (Ed Werder)

Redskins

• WR Leonard Hankerson is scheduled to meet with Dr. James Andrews this week to see where he’s at in terms of his progress from a surgically repaired knee. (Mike Jones)

Saints

• It has “become apparent” that RBs Mark Ingram and Khiry Robinson have both moved ahead of Pierre Thomas in terms of the Saints pecking order at running back. (Katherine Terrell)

Titans

• HC Ken Whisenhunt mentioned that rookie RB Bishop Sankey and S Daimion Stafford were two players who really stood out during the team’s preseason opener. (Jim Wyatt)

Vikings

• The Vikings will give QB Matt Cassel another start this Saturday for their second preseason game. (Chris Tomasson)
