Cowboys
Cowboys owner/G.M. Jerry Jones mentioned that they aren’t focused on a long-term extension for WR Dez Bryant right now.
“Well, we’re certainly concentrating on several other things,” Jones said during an interview with 105.3 The Fan, via The Dallas Morning News. “That’s there. That’s not hard to be thinking about as we move along through the season. But I really don’t think it’s a daily priority as opposed to getting ready to play in Nashville or getting ready to play football games in the season.”
“I think that’s what it says, more than anything. The priority, now that we’re in the games, is certainly shifting to practicing and getting ready to play this coming weekend.”
Lions
- Michael Rothstein would be “very, very, very surprised” if the Lions even considered the idea of signing free agent G Richie Incognito to a contract following the injuries they sustained to their offensive line.
Patriots
- DE Michael Buchanan, LB Jamie Collins and C Ryan Wendell have all been ruled out for Week 2.
- DE Chandler Jones could move to outside linebacker in Week 2 with Jamie Collins out. (Doug Kyed)
- First-round pick DT Dominique Easley should see an expanded role against the Vikings. (Doug Kyed)
