NFL Notes: Darrelle Revis, Chris Johnson, Chiefs, Ravens, Redskins & Steelers

Darrelle Revis

• According to Jason La Canfora, it would probably take a fully guaranteed three-year contract for CB Darrelle Revis to leave New England.
• La Canfora adds the Patriots are in “great position” to retain Revis as long as the average salary is close.

Chris Johnson

• Free agent RB Chris Johnson was released from the hospital on Monday after sustaining a gunshot to his shoulder on Saturday. He did not require surgery on the wound. (Ian Rapoport)

Chiefs

• Nick Jacobs reports that the Chiefs have been in contact with free agent CB Cary Williams.

Ravens

• Aaron Wilson mentions wide receivers Andre Johnson, Dwayne Bowe and Stevie Johnson as players to keep an eye for the Ravens should they be released from their current team.

Redskins

• According to Jason La Canfora, the Redskins were interested in OLB Pernell McPhee and RT Jermey Parnell until their price got too high.
• Canfora adds that the Redskins are searching for “value” players, but the top-end value in the safety market is becoming too steep as well.
• Canfora believes the Redskins will not pursue safeties Rahim Moore and Ron Parker based on their suspected market price, but Nate Allen and Marcus Gilchrist are currently “on their radar“.
• Free agent WR Leonard Hankerson has not been in contact with the Redskins, but has gained attention from other teams. (John Keim)

• Gerry Dulac reports that the Steelers do not intend to re-sign veteran OLB James Harrison at this point, but admits he could be an addition come training camp.
