Darrelle Revis

Patriots owner Bob Kraft said he would “love” to have free agent CB Darrelle Revis back with the Patriots if he was interested in returning.

“I would love it,” Kraft said, via the New York Daily News. “Speaking for myself, if he wanted to come back, he’s a great competitor, I’d welcome him if he wanted to come.

Tony Romo

  • According to Jason Cole, the Cowboys may finally cut ties with veteran QB Tony Romo in the next few weeks, as they can’t afford to have him and his $14 million salary on their roster during training camp.
  • Should Romo get hurt in offseason workouts, the Cowboys would be on the hook for the $14 million.
  • Beyond that, neither the Texans nor the Broncos have shown any interest in trading for him.
  • Jane Slater reports that Romo “has taken the situation very personally” in Dallas and has distanced himself from teammates and coaches who were “Team Dak.

Draft

  • Western Kentucky OL Forrest Lamp had dinner with the Chargers Sunday night. (Tony Pauline)
  • Western Kentucky RT Darrell Williams Jr. worked out privately for the Panthers and met with the Saints, Chargers, Rams and Colts before his pro day. (Tony Pauline)
  • Mississippi State LB Jonathan Calvin has official visits set up with the Dolphins, 49ers and Raiders. (Tony Pauline)
  • Bucknell OL Julien Davenport had a workout with the Patriots on Monday and will do so with the Cowboys, Jaguars and Texans this week. (Tony Pauline)
  • Ferris State LB Brady Sheldon will be in attendance for the Lions’ local prospects workout day next week. (Dave Birkett)

Rams

  • Rams GM Les Snead said that Greg Robinson is expected to move from left tackle to right tackle while Rob Havenstein shifts from right tackle to right guard. (Alden Gonzalez)
  • Alden Gonzalez mentions that the Rams are still looking for a new center and would prefer to bring in an experienced player to work with QB Jared Goff. Gonzalez adds that the Rams are exploring both free agency and the trade markets for center help.
  • Outside of center, Gonzalez says that Los Angeles is “pretty much done” with free agency.
  • According to Gonzalez, the Rams are expected to go heavily target receivers and tight ends in this year’s draft.
