NFL Notes: Dolphins, Eagles, Patriots, & Ravens

Dolphins

  • The Dolphins have promoted Phil McGeoghan to wide receivers coach.

Eagles

Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports writes it’s fair to wonder whether the Eagles are worse off as an organization now that Chip Kelly has final say on personnel.

According to Garafolo, there’s talk around the NFL that Eagles GM Howie Roseman could draw interest from other teams, depending on what positions end up being available.

Owners around the NFL reportedly see the mess Kelly has created with his personnel moves and realize Roseman actually did a good job of accumulating talent before Kelly elected to blow things up.

Garafolo adds that if other teams show interest in Roseman, owner Jerry Lurie could be forced to decide between Kelly and Roseman.

Patriots

Ravens

  • Adam Schefter mentions that the Ravens included a $500,000 roster bonus in Matt Schaub‘s contract if he played five percent of the team’s snaps this season.
  • Also, Schaub can make up to $1 million by playing 10 percent of the team’s snaps.
