NFL Notes: Dolphins, Jets, Panthers, Patriots, & Ravens

Dolphins

Dolphins first-round WR DeVante Parker (foot) said he expects to play more in Week 2 after he was limited to playing just a single snap against the Redskins.

“I expected a little bit more than one play,” Parker said, via Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald. “[But] I’m fine with one. I just want to wait for the right time to get me out there.

“I just wasn’t comfortable with doing certain things. I think my foot has done better every week. This week, I look forward to doing different things.

Jets

Jets DE Muhammad Wilkerson mentioned that he views himself as “one of the best defensive ends” and doesn’t need to “compete with those people upstairs.

“I’m a competitor, but I’m not going to compete with those people upstairs,” Wilkerson said, via Rich Cimini of ESPN.com. “If they feel I’m worthy or not worthy, whatever the case may be, that’s on them. I know what I’m capable of doing. … I’m not here to make a point about anything. If they think … I don’t know, I really can’t say how they feel about me. You have to talk to them. I just do my job and dominate as best I can.

Panthers

  • Panthers placed OL Nate Chandler (knee) on season-ending injured reserve Thursday.

Patriots

  • Mike Reiss considers recently released WR Chris Harper to be an ideal candidate to return to the Patriots’ practice squad.
