NFL Notes: Draft, 49ers, Chiefs, Rams

Draft

  • Tony Pauline reports that Utah LT Garrett Bolles visited the Bears on Tuesday.
  • According to Pauline, Kutztown G Jordan Morgan has worked out for the Bills, Eagles, Saints, Patriots and Panthers.
  • The Giants recently brought in Toledo OT Storm Norton for a visit, according to Pauline.
  • Pauline also writes that Toledo RB Kareem Hunt will visit the Cardinals on Wednesday and has already worked out or visited with the Lions, Falcons, Buccaneers, Titans, Vikings, Eagles, Patriots, Browns, 49ers and Saints.

49ers

  • 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan and QB coach Rich Scangarillo flew to North Carolina last Thursday to work out QB Mitchell Trubisky. (Adam Schefter)
  • The 49ers are expected to host Stanford WRs Michael Rector and Francis Owusu at their local prospect workout day on Wednesday. (Eric Branch)
  • Connecticut QB Garrett Anderson, Wisconsin QB Bart Houston, Minnesota State QB Ricky Lloyd, and San Jose State QB Kenny Potter are also expected to attend the 49ers’ local prospect day. (Eric Branch)

  • The 49ers will hold private workouts for Cal QB Davis Webb and WR Chad Hansen. (Matt Barrows)

Chiefs

  • Terez A. Paylor reports that the Chiefs are bringing in three college basketball players for pre-draft visits including VCU’s Mo Alie-Cox, Kansas State’s D.J. Johnson, and Texas Wesleyan’s Najeal Young.

Rams

  • Vincent Bonsignore expects the Rams to open extension talks with DT Aaron Donald and LB Alec Ogletree over the next 12 months.
  • On Wednesday, the Rams officially exercised Donald’s fifth-year option, which will keep him under team control for the 2018 season. (NFLTR)
