NFL Notes: Draft, Bears, Broncos, Cardinals, & Redskins

Draft

  • Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports reports that Alabama S Landon Collins is considered to be a lock to enter the 2015 NFL Draft.
  • Getlin adds that Collins’ camp has conducted preliminary meetings with agents.

Bears

Albert Breer spoke to sources close to current Bears HC Marc Trestman about whether or not he would be able to navigate the trouble ahead.

However, Breer’s sources mentioned that Trestman isn’t “tough enough” to deal with these issues.

He’s not tough enough to handle it,” said one of Breer’s sources of Trestman. “Doesn’t have the ability to control the locker room. You have to have balls and be respected by the players. They need to know that you will fight for you.

Broncos

  • Broncos worked out P Brock Miller on Friday. (Aaron Wilson)

Cardinals

  • HC Bruce Arians confirmed Friday that Ryan Lindley will be the team’s starting quarterback in Week 16.
  • Arians  suggested that Drew Stanton (knee) could be active for Sunday’s game and back up Ryan Lindley.

Redskins

  • Albert Breer mentions that Robert Griffin‘s opportunities this season have boiled down to HC Jay Gruden’sdesire for Griffin to earn playing time, just like everyone else on the roster.
