NFL Notes: Draft, Bills, Cowboys, & Ravens

Draft

  • David J. Chao mentions that teams most likely are not concerned about QB Jameis Winston‘s shoulder nerve injury, due to his absence from the NFL medical recheck this morning.
  • According to Aaron Wilson, Towson DE Ryan Delaire has been invited to the Ravens’ local prospect day on Tuesday, and to the Redskins locals day on Wednesday.
  • Wilson adds that Delaire checked out positively during the medical recheck  and is recovered from a groin injury he sustained during the NFL combine.

Bills

  • Chris Brown of the BuffaloBills.com believes that the Bills will not consider drafting UCLA QB Brett Hundley with their second-round pick, but would rather target someone that can start immediately.
  • Brown thinks that S Duke Williams can step into the starting safety role vacated by Da’Norris Searcy.
  • Brown notes that DT Marcel Dareus is the primary focus for the Bills to re-sign, but are also interested in re-signing LT Cordy Glenn and OLB Nigel Bradham as well.
  • HC Rex Ryan likes CB Corey Graham, who played in the nickel last season, as an outside corner.

Cowboys

  • CB Morris Claiborne will not gain medical clearance from an offseason knee surgery until training camp at the earliest. (Mark Lane)

Ravens

  • Ravens re-signed exclusive rights free agent S Brynden Trawick to a one-year, $585,000 contract.
