NFL Notes: Draft, Chiefs, Giants, & Raiders

Draft

  • Rand Getlin reports that FSU DB Jalen Ramsey has visited with the Cowboys and has a visit lined up with the Titans.
  • Jeremy Fowler reports that Clemson CB Mackensie Alexander will visit with the 49ers and Rams.
  • Tony Pauline reports that Indiana OT Jason Spriggs had a long sit down meeting with the Steelers on Thursday.
  • Indiana DT Darius Latham, who could end up being a late-round pick, reportedly met with the Vikings and Titans.

Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs announced a number of coaching staff changes on Friday including:

  • Britt Reid promoted defensive line coach.
  • Al Harris promoted to Secondary coach/Cornerbacks.
  • Tommy Brasher will now work on special projects
  • Assistant QBs coach Corey Matthaei will assume additional responsibility with an expanded role working with the quarterbacks and assisting the offensive line.
  • Assistant Linebackers coach Mark DeLeone will have an expanded role on defense.

Giants

  • Jordan Raanan does not expect anything to happen between free agent CB Jerraud Powers and the Giants on Friday and adds that it appears as though Powers’ visit may have ended without an agreement.

Raiders

  • Raiders owner Mark Davis was in Las Vegas again on Friday exploring the team’s options in regards to the new UNLV stadium. (Las Vegas Sands)
