NFL Notes: Drew Brees, Bills, Panthers, & Seahawks

Drew Brees

Saints HC Sean Payton said that QB Drew Brees (shoulder) will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis.

“It’ll be day to day,” Payton said, via NewOrleansSaints.com. “We’ll report it and include it in our injury list.

“I’m not going to go through hypothetical scenarios. We’re going to play the guys that we feel like are most ready to play and give us the best chance to win.”

Panthers

  • As of now, there’s still no guarantee Kuechly will be cleared for Sunday’s game against the Saints. (David Newton)

Seahawks

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll explained that they’re “disappointed” by their inability to get TE Jimmy Graham involved in their offense over the first two weeks of the season.

“I’m disappointed,” Carroll said, via ESPN Seattle. “Because we really have had the intent, just like you would think, exactly like you guys think, like everybody thinks. We want him to be a big part of the offense.”

Carroll added that Graham is probably just as frustrated as anyone about the situation.

“I think he is. I think he’s a competitor, he wants the ball, he wants to help us win. I don’t think there’s any question about it. I would feel that, too,” Carroll said. “He’s worked hard, he’s great about it, he wants to do everything he can to help us. I don’t have any doubt about that.”
