NFL Notes: Drew Brees, Cowboys, Texans, & Titans

Drew Brees

• Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Saints QB Drew Brees is in “horrible, miserable pain” due to the torn plantar fasciitis he suffered on Monday.
• Even with the injury, Rapoport reports that Brees is rehabbing the injury 24/7 and is intent on playing in Week 16.

Cowboys

• Clarence Hill reports that Cowboys WR Dez Bryant was held out of Wednesday’s practice because of a foot injury.
• Hill wonders if the Cowboys will elect to shut Bryant down for the season, given that there’s nothing to play for.

Texans

• Texans HC Bill O’Brien told reporters that QB Brian Hoyer (concussion) took reps in Wednesday’s practice. However, it’s still undetermined if Hoyer will be able to play in Week 16. (Aaron Wilson)

Titans

• Titans QB Marcus Mariota said of his knee injury: “I’m taking it day by day. If I feel great on Monday, then I look forward to playing in the last game.”
