NFL Notes: Eagles, Falcons, Panthers, Texans, & Titans

  • Eagles HC Chip Kelly told reporters that they have not discussed trading DE/OLB Vinny Curry with teams, despite previous reports that he was available. (Zach Berman)

  • Joe Person would be surprised to see the Panthers complete a trade ahead of the upcoming deadline, even though they could use another receiver.

  • Texans TE Ryan Griffin is returning to practice next week, but remains on injured reserve with the designation to return. (Aaron Wilson)

  • Eric Edholm expects former Lions HC Jim Schwartz to go “all in” on the Titans head-coaching job.
  • Edholm adds that this not only makes sense, but it also a more realistic option.
  • Charles Robinson also expects Schwartz to pursue the job, but he’s not sure he’ll be embraced by the Titans.
  • With QB Marcus Mariota in place, Robinson mentions that it’s likely to be an attractive job.
