NFL Notes: HC Candidates, Eagles, Jets, & Rams

HC Candidates

Ian Rapoport reports that a few hot head coaching candidates right now are Bears OC Adam Gase, Patriots OC Josh McDaniels and Jaguars OL coach Doug Marrone.

Other names who should garner interest after the season, according to Rapoport include: Panthers OC Mike Shula, Bills RBs coach Anthony Lynn, and Seahawks OL coach Tom Cable.

Panthers DC Sean McDermott and Lions DC Teryl Austin should also be on team’s radar’s as well, per Rapoport.

Eagles

  • Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk writes that with HC Chip Kelly potentially on the hot seat in Philadelphia, Howie Roseman could be on the rise.
  • Florio adds that Kelly’s struggles since taking over the 53-man roster could allow Roseman to seize a level of control over the team. Unless, of course, Eagles owner Jeffery Lurie elects to clean house and completely start over.

Jets

Rams

  • Adam Schefter reports that the Rams will not be penalized for mishandling concussion protocols last week in regards to QB Case Keenum.
