NFL Notes: Ezekiel Elliott, Cap Space, Titans

Ezekiel Elliott

  • Tom Pelissero of USA Today reports that the NFLPA recently turned over phone records and other documents that had been requested by NFL investigators regarding their investigation into the domestic violence allegations against Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott.
  • Pelissero mentions that this is a “potentially significant step“, as this suggests the NFL’s investigation into Elliott is nearing its conclusion.

Cap Space

Field Yates points out that a number of teams will pick up a good chunk of cap space on Friday after cutting players with the post-June 1 designation. Some of these teams include:

  • Cowboys: $14M
  • Saints: $7.8M
  • Jets: $6M
  • Lions: $4.8M
  • Falcons: $4.25M
  • Chargers: $2.5M

Titans

According to Paul Kuharsky, Titans outside linebacker Kevin Dodd is sitting out OTAs after undergoing a second surgery on his right foot this past January.

Dodd mentioned that he’s still being cautious with his surgically repaired foot.

“I’m not really doing anything to stress it right now,” Dodd said. “I really can’t tell you that much. But I feel fine walking around.”
