NFL Notes: Ezekiel Elliott, Cardinals & Dolphins

Ezekiel Elliott

TMZ Sports Ezekiel Elliott’s ex-girlfriend has taken her case to Columbus (OH) city prosecutors, who have launched an investigation into the domestic violence allegations against the Cowboys’ running back.

“We currently have an open investigation,” a rep for the Columbus City Attorney tells TMZ Sports. “We are collecting as much evidence as possible. Once the investigation is complete, our office will determine if there is sufficient evidence to establish probable cause. Basically, whether there is enough evidence to charge him or not.”

Cardinals

Cardinals WR Michael Floyd mentioned that he would like to remain in Arizona long-term, but it will come down to how he performs this season.

“You still got to go out there and perform,” Floyd said, via ESPN.com. “That’s what I expect myself to do — just going out there and doing the best that I can to put myself in a position to stay here in Arizona, which I want to. I love this place and the organization treats me well. Basically the ball’s in my court. How I perform is all up to me.

Dolphins

  • Armando Salguero reports that the Dolphins are “pretty comfortable” their current situation at cornerback, despite second-round pick Xavien Howard recently undergoing arthroscopic surgery.
  • Salguero’s source added that Miami isn’t about to do anything “crazy” right now to add help at the position.
