Patriots
Patriots DT Alan Branch tells Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald that he feels he had another “pretty good” week of practice. However, he still isn’t sure if he’ll be active this weekend.
“I control what I can control,” Branch said. “I go out there and practice, and (Bill Belichick) makes the decision. The reasons why, I don’t know.”
A source tells Howe that the Patriots explained to Branch that the decision to bench him was for “performance-related reasons.”
Branch admitted that it’s upsetting, but he’s focused on what he can control moving forward.
“Not playing, yeah, you get upset,” Branch said. “It’s all about having a short memory in this game. I’m not going to let what happened in the past affect me now. I just keep practicing. Whatever happens, happens.”
