NFL Notes: Free Agents, Broncos, Browns, Giants, & Jets

Free Agents

• Redskins free agent DE Jarvis Jenkins is drawing interest from the Cardinals and Dolphins. (Chris Russell)
• An AFC executive predicted that CB Darrelle Revis will secure a three-year, $50 million contract. (Rich Cimini)

Broncos

• Troy Renck mentions that given the current market for free agent right tackles, the Broncos could be more likely to address their need in draft.

Browns

• Nate Ulrich reports that three teams expressed significant interest in Browns free agent NT Ahtyba Rubin. According to Ulrich, Rubin is not expected to be back in Cleveland next year.
• The Browns have reportedly made re-signing CB Buster Skrine their top priority, but he’s already found interest from eight NFL teams.
• Free agent OLB Jabaal Sheard is expected to depart in the coming weeks.

Giants

• Dan Graziano reports that the Giants are “definitely interested” in free agent S Devin McCourty, but they may be more focused on targeting defensive linemen in free agency.

Jets

• Rich Cimini mentions that the Jets were considering Texans WR Andre Johnson as a late free-agency option and could have waited until after draft to pursue him. However, Brandon Marshall‘s arrival has obviously changed their level of interest.
• Cimini mentions that the Jets won’t be targeting a receiver at No. 6 overall and instead expects them to focus on either a pass-rusher or possibly a quarterback like Marcus Mariota.
• Mike Reiss wonders if the Jets could be an option for former Patriots DL Vince Wilfork.
