NFL Notes: Free Agents, Buccaneers, Dolphins, Eagles, Texans, & Vikings

Free Agents

• According to Charles Robinson, the Jaguars, Eagles, Redskins, Cowboys, and Colts are interested in pass-rushing outside linebackers right now.

Buccaneers

• Mike Garafolo mentions that with the Buccaneers bringing S Major Wright back, Dashon Goldson is no lock to return and could be released or traded.

Dolphins

• According to Armando Salguero, the Dolphins would still like to keep WR Mike Wallace and see him as a dynamic deep threat.

Eagles

• Charles Robinson mentions that free agent OLB Brian Orakpo as a name to keep an eye on for the Eagles.

Texans

• Albert Breer’s “feeling” is that there is mutual interest between the Texans and free agent QB Brian Hoyer.

Vikings

• Chris Tomasson reports that the Vikings are interested in re-signing OL Joe Berger,  but he is looking for starter’s money and Minnesota doesn’t necessarily see him as a starter.
• Tomasson also reports that the Vikings haven’t had any recent discussions regarding free agent QB Christian Ponder, which makes it seem like he won’t be back with the team.
