HC Hot Seat
Nate Davis of USA Today updates his NFL Hot Seat rankings following Week 2’s slate of games. According to Davis, the coaches on the seat include:
- Bills HC Rex Ryan
- Jaguars HC Gus Bradley
- Redskins HC Jay Gruden
- Chargers HC Mike McCoy
Davis also has Rams HC Jeff Fisher and Falcons HC Dan Quinn on “cooler seats” for now.
Bills
- Bills HC Rex Ryan told reporters on Thursday that there is some concern WR Sammy Watkins will not play Sunday. (Mike Rodak)
- Bills WR Greg Salas injured his groin today. (Mike Rodak)
Eagles
- Howard Eskin is hearing that TE Zach Ertz and DB Leodis McKelvin are not expected to play for Eagles in Week 3.
Falcons
- Falcons HC Dan Quinn said things are looking up for first-round S Keanu Neal in regards to his return from a knee scope. (Vaughn McClure)
- According to D. Orlando Ledbetter, Falcons WR Julio Jones is dealing with a “minor calf bruise” but should be fine.
Steelers
Steelers TE Lardarius Green tells Mark Kaboly of DKPittsburghsports.com that he only had the one surgery on his back that took place back in January.
“I just had one,” Green said. “Everything went well, but it is just taking longer than we expected.”
Green added that he’s still expecting to return in Week 7.
“It’s going well,” Green said of the rehab process. “Yeah, I hope (to return for Week 7). That’s what I am aiming for to be able to get back.”
