Jackson’s list of speculative options includes: the Browns, Cowboys, 49ers, Colts, Cardinals, Lions, Steelers and Broncos.

However, Mike Reiss mentions that the Patriots are loaded at defensive and with Freeney not offering much as a special teams player, it’s unlikely that New England would be a strong option for him.
- Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reports that Patriots WR Danny Amendola underwent surgery to repair the left knee, and had a bone spur removed in his ankle this offseason.
