NFL Notes: Jaguars, Rams, Ravens & Saints

Jaguars

Rams

  • Rookie RB Todd Gurley is not expected to return during the first three weeks of the season, as he is still recovering from an ACL injury that he sustained in college. (Ian Rapoport)
  • Rapoport adds that the team wants to make sure Gurley is completely healthy before begins taking snaps.

Ravens

HC John Harbaugh said that rookie WR Breshad Perriman does not have a timetable for his return from a knee injury that he sustained in training camp.

I think I was pretty clear. It’s probably not a real big chance, because he hasn’t practiced,” Harbaugh said, via Jamison Hensley of ESPN. “When he comes [back] … I don’t have a time frame from the doctors. I don’t think it’s tremendously far down the road, or we would have done something else with him, as far as his status.”

Harbaugh suggested that Perriman would have been placed on the designated to return injured reserve list if he was at risk of missing eight weeks or more, so it is possible for Perriman to return during the first half of the season.

Saints

  • RB C.J. Spiller will not play in Week 1, as he is recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery he had in August. (Ian Rapoport)
