NFL Notes: Jalen Ramsey, Marshawn Lynch, Super Bowls & 49ers

Jalen Ramsey

  • Adam Caplan reports Jaguars first-round DB Jalen Ramsey did not experience any issues with his knee during his time at Florida State.
  • Ramsey underwent microfracture surgery on the same knee he recently injured back in high school.

Marshawn Lynch

Seahawks DE Michael Bennett was asked about RB Marshawn Lynch and whether he believes Lynch will remain retired.

“Yeah I think he’s done. He might make an appearance later on but I think he’s done for right now,” Bennett said, per Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times. “He’s played a lot of football, done a lot of great things on the field. I think he’s really focused on his community work…. I want him to play again, but we’ll see.’’

Super Bowls

  • Jason La Canfora is hearing that there’s growing momentum among NFL owners for the city of New Orleans and their bid to host Super Bowl 53.
  • La Canfora adds that Atlanta and Los Angeles should also have decent odds of landing a Super Bowl, considering that they’re both building new stadiums.

49ers

49ers veteran fullback Bruce Miller confirmed that the team is moving him to tight end this season. Even with the change in position, Miller is optimistic about the situation.

“When I came into the league, I switched positions, and every single year has been the same kind of feel,” Miller said, via Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle. “…I’ve always just put my head down and worked and grinded, and I’m going to continue to do that this year.”
