NFL Notes: Jason Pierre-Paul, Bears, Colts, & Texans

Jason Pierre-Paul

According to Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen, there is some concern about whether Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul‘s middle finger will ever be “football-functional.

Pierre-Paul had his right finger amputated and his thumb was severely fractured after a fireworks incident.

On top of that, there are reportedly varying whispers about Pierre-Paul’s weight, as he was down “at least 20 pounds, maybe more,” upon visiting with the Giants.

A source tells the two insiders that JPP weighed just 246 pounds, but another team source said he was “around 255 pounds.”

Pierre-Paul was previously listed 6-foot-5, 278 pounds, but was looking to get down to 265 for training camp.

Earlier in the week, Pierre-Paul posted a video on Instagram of him bench pressing 240 pounds. However, it has actually raised more concerns about his condition.
