Jason Pierre-Paul

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul will continue to meet with the team on Tuesday and take a physical.

As long as everything checks out, Rapoport mentions that they’ll begin contract talks.

  • Jordan Raanan of NJ.com reports that there’s there is “optimism” this time around that Pierre-Paul will be able to play this season.

Cowboys

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones reiterated during an interview with 105.3 The Fan that they want to sign DE Greg Hardy to a long-term contract. (Charean Williams)

Packers

  • Aaron Wilson reports that the Packers are trying out OLB J.R. Tavai on Tuesday.

Texans

  • According to Ed Werder of ESPN, the Texans’ priority right now is deciding how to proceed at running back following the loss of Arian Foster.
  • Werder adds that the situation involving backup QB Ryan Mallett and his future with the team is considered a secondary issue.
  • Werder still expects there to be a resolution in the matter at some point today.
