The Florida hospital where Giants DE Jason Pierre-Paul was getting medical attention after a recent fireworks accident announced Thursday that they have launched an “aggressive” investigation into the release of his private medical records.
“Late Wednesday, media reports surfaced purportedly showing a Jackson Memorial Hospital patient’s protected health information, suggesting it was leaked by an employee,” Migoya said, via WPTZ-TV. “An aggressive internal investigation looking into these allegations is underway. If these allegations prove to be true, I know the entire Jackson family will share my anguish.
“If we confirm Jackson employees or physicians violated a patient’s legal right to privacy, they will be held accountable, up to and including possible termination.”
Alex Marvez of FOX Sports mentioned that there are still so many hurdles for the NFL to overcome in regards to placing a team in London, despite the growth in revenue from games played in the United Kingdom.
“The reason they keep doing this is because they keep making more and more money in the U.K.,” Marvez said on the Joe Rose Show, via CBS Miami. “The interest hasn’t waned in the sport. They keep selling out Wembley stadium and the television ratings remain strong.
“And that’s really the key, they want to use this as a launching pad for the rest of Europe to try to continue to grow global interest in the game and look for new revenue streams because there’s only so much of the U.S. market that you can get to so I think this is the goal of the NFL but gosh there’s so many hurdles that they have to be able to overcome before they can ever put a team over there.”
