NFL Notes: Jets, Lions, Patriots, & Ravens

Jets

Jets LT Ryan Clady admitted that being traded by the Broncos “stings a little bit” while adding he’s “got something to prove” in 2016.

I think it stings a little bit, a little chip on my shoulder,” Clady said Wednesday, per Darryl Slater of NJ.com. “I feel like I’ve got something to prove. So I’m ready for the challenge.”

They felt they needed to move on, and I think there’s a good chance for me, as well (with the Jets),” Clady added. “I knew there was a good chance that they’d be moving on, so I kind of mentally prepared myself.

Lions

Lions HC Jim Caldwell said that WR Corey Fuller underwent surgery on Wednesday to correct a foot injury, and it’s unclear when he’ll be able to return.

“He had an issue with his foot, so he went through the surgical process,” coach Jim Caldwell said. “How long he’s going to be out, I’m not certain. But he’s been known to be a quick healer.

Kyle Meinke of MLive.com writes that this injury puts Fuller’s future with the Lions in jeopardy.

Patriots

According to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald, Patriots DE Rob Ninkovich has been working exclusively at inside linebacker during minicamp.

“I’ve played multiple positions many times in my life,” Ninkovich said. “Wherever I’m at, really, it’s just to help the team, do whatever I can and be multiple. I figure that’s one of the strengths of my game is being able to play different positions.

Ravens

Ravens HC John Harbaugh told reporters on Wednesday that he expects No. 6 overall pick Ronnie Stanley to win the left tackle job this summer and their Week 1 starter.

“[H]e’s the sixth pick in the draft,” Harbaugh said of Stanley, via BaltimoreRavens.com. “I expect him to start.
