NFL Notes: Jim Harbaugh, Los Angeles, Falcons, Lions, & Vikings

Jim Harbaugh

  • Jason La Canforastaunchly” believes Jim Harbaugh is staying in the NFL and most likely coaching the Oakland Raiders.
  • According to La Canfora, there is a “10,000 percent” chance of Harbaugh leaving the 49ers.

Los Angeles

  • ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that commissioner Roger Goodell has informed the Chargers, Raiders, and Rams this week that there will not be a team moving to Los Angeles for the 2015 season.

Falcons

Lions

OC Joe Lombardi admitted that Joique Bell is the team’s No. 1 running back over Reggie Bush.

“Well, certainly lately,” Lombardi said, via Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. “Every game develops at a different rate. The game plan kind of comes out in a certain way. But lately with Reggie coming off the injury, I think we just kind of got in a rhythm with (Bell) carrying the ball a little bit more.”

  • Michael Rothstein writes that DT Nick Fairley is unlikely to play in either of the team’s final two regular season games, but there is a chance that he could be back for the playoffs.
  • According to Rothstein, it’s still a possibility that Detroit could place Fairly on injured reserve next year.

Vikings

Vikings FB Jerome Felton admitted that he’s unlikely to be back with the team next year.

“I’d like to come back, but I know the reality,” Felton said, via Mark Craig of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. “I know they have [backup fullback] Zach [Line] on the roster, even though I’m not getting many snaps. My salary, the number of reps I’ve gotten this year, all of that plays into it. But I’ve taken advantage of every opportunity, and I know there is a lot of good film on me out there.”
