NFL Notes: Joey Bosa, Jaguars, & Panthers

Joey Bosa

  • The Columbus Dispatch is reporting that Ohio State DE, and potential No. 1 overall pick, Joey Bosa has been suspended for Ohio State’s season opener for an unspecified violation of athletic department policy.

Jaguars

Jaguars DE Chris Clemons did not report for the start of training camp on Thursday.

Head coach Gus Bradley referred to the matter as a “personal” issue.

“I can’t get too much into it; there are some personal things that he’s going through,” Bradley said, via Florida Times Union. “I can tell you this: We’ve been in really good communication with him.”

Panthers

Panthers MLB Luke Kuechly mentioned that he’s not concerned about his contract situation and expects a deal to get done at some point.

“I’m the same way I was in OTAs. I’m not concerned about it,” Kuechly said, via the Charlotte Observer. “This stuff gets done when it gets done. We trust the guys in the building. So it’ll get done when it needs to get done. … For right now, I know I’ve got a room. I know hopefully I’ve got a locker down there. And that’s all I really need right now.
