NFL Notes: John Harbaugh, Bengals, Redskins, Steelers, & Vikings

John Harbaugh

Ravens HC John Harbaugh was asked recent speculation that he could be contacted by USC regarding their head-coaching vacancy.

However, it sounds like Harbaugh is content with his current position in the NFL.

“No, no. Obviously, no,” Harbaugh answered. “This is what I’m doing. I love the Ravens, love being here, and it’s not a consideration.

Bengals

Redskins

  • Redskins signed WR Colin Lockett to their practice squad.
  • Redskins placed WR Issac Blakeney on the practice squad injured list.

Steelers

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN writes that even thought the Steelers traded a conditional fifth-round pick to the Eagles for CB Brandon Boykin, they’ve only had him on the field for a single snap.

According to Fowler, this situation is unlikely to change any time soon.

“I’m not going to say anything negative. I just feel in my heart things will turn around,” Boykin told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Vikings

  • Vikings defensive coordinator George Edwards said there’s a “possibility” they could call up S Anthony Harris from their practice squad at some point in the near future. (Chris Tomasson)
