NFL Notes: Johnny Manziel, Buccaneers, Jets, & Titans

Johnny Manziel

Jason Cole of B/R mentions that the Browns have put QB Johnny Manziel in a “very difficult” situation, as he has very little time to prepare for their Thursday night game against the Bengals.

According to Cole, the concern is that Manziel could be less prepared with the team’s gameplan, given that they’re on a short week and will be up against a quality opponent.

Even so, Cole has spoke to sources within the Browns who expect Manziel to play well and take advantage of the opportunity in front of him. Cole adds that the Browns are hoping Manziel will win the starting job for the remainder of the season.
