NFL Notes: Josh Gordon, Adrian Peterson, Marcus Mariota & Arik Armstead, New Drug Policy

Josh Gordon

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that Browns WR Josh Gordon has already been assured that he will not face a two-game suspension after pleading guilty to a DWI charge on Tuesday.

Adrian Peterson

Pro Football Talk mentions that it would not be surprising to see the Vikings “reverse course” regarding their decision to allow RB Adrian Peterson to practice and play in Week 3’s game.

Peterson lost his first sponsor on Tuesday when Castro Motor Oil announced that they are terminating their contract with him. (Darren Rovell)

Marcus Mariota & Arik Armstead

Dane Brugler of CBS Sports reports that Oregon QB Marcus Mariota and DL Arik Armstead are planning to enter the 2015 NFL Draft.

According to Brugler, both players have purchased “large disability insurance policies” before the start of the season.

Mariota could very well end up being the No. 1 overall pick next year and Armstead is considered to be a first-round talent as well.
