NFL Notes: Josh Gordon, Browns Uniforms, Buccaneers, Eagles, & Adrian Peterson

 

Josh Gordon

• Browns WR Josh Gordon plead guilty to to DWI charge in Raleigh, North Carolina on Tuesday. (Derek Rowles)

Browns Uniforms

• The Browns will not be adding any logos to their helmets with the new uniform change that is coming in 2015. (Nathan Zegura)

Buccaneers

• DT Gerald McCoy said that he won’t know if he can play until Thursday morning. (Scott Smith)

Eagles

• HC Chip Kelly said that ILB Mychal Kendricks has a “calf” injury and underwent an MRI, but didn’t have an update regarding his status at this time. (Jeff McLane)

Adrian Peterson

• Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton released a statement Tuesday saying that the Vikings should suspend RB Adrian Peterson and referred to the situation as “a public embarrassment to the Vikings organization and the state of Minnesota.“

“Whipping a child to the extent of visible wounds, as has been alleged, should not be tolerated in our state,” Dayton said in the released statement, via the  Minneapolis Star-Tribune. “Therefore, I believe the team should suspend Mr. Peterson, until the accusations of child abuse have been resolved by the criminal justice system.“
