NFL Notes: London, Lions, Ravens, Patriots & Seahawks

London

• Albert Breer reports that two considerations London games in 2016 is that one team could end up playing two games over there next year in back-to-back-to-back weeks.
• Breer adds that if a team does, in fact, agree to play back-to-back games in London, they most likely wouldn’t give up two homes games, and could instead play one or both games as the away team.
• According to Breer, this could be a step towards London potentially “sharing” an NFL franchise.

Lions

• Lions HC Jim Caldwell told reporters that OLB DeAndre Levy has undergone hip surgery is doing okay. (Dave Birkett)
• However, Caldwell said that they’ve yet to make a decision about placing him on season-ending injured reserve. (Dave Birkett)

Patriots

Patriots QB Tom Brady told New York media ahead of Sunday’s game against the Jets he doesn’t want to consider retirement any time soon.

According to Newsday’s Bob Glauber, the 38-year-old Brady told reporters, “I want to play for a long time, maybe 10 more (years).”

Ravens

While he’s enjoying another impressive season, Ravens WR Steve Smith is still planning on retiring at the end of the season.

“I’m on schedule for what I discussed earlier in the year,” Smith told reports today, according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley.

Smith is enjoying another great season with 36 catches for 510 yards and three touchdowns in five games, but he still intends to retire at the end of the season.

Seahawks

• Seahawks HC Pete Carroll said that RB Fred Jackson is fine and will play in Thursday’s game against the 49ers, despite crashing his car yesterday. (Bob Condotta)
• Carroll confirmed that WR Paul Richardson will come off the PUP list next week. (Bob Condotta)
• According to Carroll, LB Brock Coyle had knee surgery on Tuesday, but could come off of the short-term injured reserve for their final three games. (Bob Condotta)
• The Seahawks officially ruled out CB Marcus Burley, C Patrick Lewis, LB Nick Moody, FB Derrick Coleman and DT Jordan Hill for Week 7’s game.
