NFL Notes: Marcell Dareus, Bills, Browns & Chiefs

Marcell Dareus

A midst extension negotiations, Bills DL Marcell Dareus said that he wants to remain with the Bills, but wants to be paid fairly for his contributions.

I want to be a part of the Bills, but this is a business… We’re going through negotiations,” said Dareus, via Mike Rodak. “I’m not necessarily looking at Suh numbers. I just want to be treated right.”

Dareus went on to say that he would sign a franchise tender, if that is the option the team decides on.

If that’s what they’re considering, there’s not much I can do,” Dareus said, via Rodak.

Bills

  • HC Rex Ryan said he is “cautiously optimistic” that WR Chris Hogan will return in time for the regular season opener, while WR Percy Harvin is expected to play in Week 1.
  • Ryan admitted he has yet to decide on a starting quarterback for the team’s next preseason game, and that the Bills will rotate each of their three quarterbacks during practice this week, per the Bills’ official site.
  • RB Fred Jackson has returned from a hamstring injury to practice on Saturday.

It was the plan all along, to get out here this week, see if I could push around on it,” said Jackson, via Jay Skurski of the Buffalo News. “Felt good out there.”

Browns
