NFL Notes: Marshawn Lynch, Cardinals, Colts, Jaguars, & Saints

Marshawn Lynch

Marshawn Lynch‘s former teammate and good friend Michael Robinson reiterated that he doesn’t know whether or not Lynch will play in 2015.

I don’t know,” Robinson said during an appearance on 710 ESPN in Seattle, via Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times. “I don’t think Marshawn knows yet. . . . I don’t know what a timeline is, guys. I would guess that Marshawn doesn’t even really know what a timeline is. Probably going to be a feel thing and we’ll just see like everybody else.”

It’s worth mentioning that Robinson had just spoken to Lynch before doing the interview.

Cardinals

  • Cardinals GM Steve Keim mentioned that they are essentially over the cap by $16 million right now and will need to get down to the limit by March 10. (Darren Urban)

Colts

Jaguars

Saints

Mike Triplett of ESPN takes a look at some potential cap casualties for the Saints.

Among the players that are likely to be released in the coming weeks are DT Brodrick Bunkley and LB David Hawthorne. Although, Triplett mentions that Hawthorne could be back if he accepts a pay cut.

Triplett can see LB Curtis Lofton, RB Pierre Thomas, S Rafael Bush, and TE Ben Watson all staying at their current price.
