NFL Notes: Matt Forte, Bills, Buccaneers, Colts, Eagles, & Jaguars

Matt Forte

  • Jason Cole reports that neither the Broncos nor the Cowboys have interest in pursuing a trade for Bears RB Matt Forte.

Bills

  • Bills HC Rex Ryan confirmed that there’s a “real possibility” they’ll hold out RB LeSean McCoy out of Sunday’s game against the Giants. (Mike Garafolo)
  • Ryan also said he’s “not sure” if WR Sammy Watkins (calf) will be able to play in Week 4.

Buccaneers

  • Buccaneers promoted OT Reid Fragel from their practice squad.

Colts

  • Stephen Holder mentions that while Colts QB Andrew Luck did practice on Wednesday, he took practically no reps in individual portion of practice.

Eagles

  • Eagles HC Chip Kelly said that RB DeMarco Murray (hamstring) did “a couple of things’’ during Tuesday’s short practice and “we’ll see how he progresses today. He was limited in practice yesterday and we’ll see to what extent he can go today.’’ (Les Bowen)
  • Regarding ILB Mychal Kendricks, Kelly said: “We’ll see how much more he can do today, but he looked good yesterday. With an injury like Mychal’s, it’s a progression thing. How does he progress during the week. We’re encouraged where he is now.’’ (Les Bowen)
  • Kelly said he expects both LT Jason Peters and WR Riley Cooper to play Sunday against Washington. (Les Bowen)

Jaguars
