NFL Notes: Paxton Lynch, Draft, Eagles, & Jaguars

Paxton Lynch

• Rand Getlin reports that there are 26 NFL teams on hand for Memphis QB Paxton Lynch’s Pro Day.
• According to Getlin, Chargers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt is among those in attendance.
• Bills OC Greg Roman is also in attendance for Lynch’s workout, per Getlin.
• Rich Cimini reports that the Jets are expected to have a four-man contingent Lynch’s pro day, including GM Mike Maccagnan, QBs coach Kevin Patullo, director of college scouting Rex Hogan and regional scout Dom Green.
• Ian Rapoport reports that the Broncos have sent an area scout to Lynch’s Pro Day.
• Per Mike Mayock, quarterback coaches from the Seahawks, Steelers, Jets, and Saints were present for Lynch’s Pro Day.

Draft

• UCLA OL Caleb Benenoch taking a predraft visit to the Steelers and has other visits lined up with the Lions, Titans, and Texans. (Ian Rapoport)
• Terez A. Paylor reports that Akron OLB Jatavis Brown, Michigan State CB Arjen Colquhoun and Baylor OL Blake Muir all visited the Chiefs.
• UTSA DT Brian Price is visiting the Chiefs on Wednesday. (Terez A. Paylor)
• Tony Pauline reports that the Jets met “extensively” with Utah State LB Kyler Fackrell on Tuesday.
• Stanford TE Austin Hooper visited with the Titans and Bears earlier this week. (Rand Getlin)
• The Texans sent two scouts to Sam Houston State P Lachlan Edwards’ Pro Day workout. (Aaron Wilson)
• Per Tony Pauline, Utah St LB Nick Vigil has spent a lot of time with the Bears and the team really likes him.
• Rand Getlin is told that Ohio St. S Vonn Bell has or has had meetings, workouts, and/or visits with the Falcons, Steelers, and Titans.
• Clemson S T.J. Green and Colorado St. WR Rashard Higgins are visiting the Vikings Wednesday. (Eric Oslund)
• Titans GM Jon Robinson says the team will be hosting Florida St. DB Jalen Ramsey on Monday and other locals are due in Friday. (John Glennon)
• Greg Auman noted that Buccaneers OL Coach George Warhop worked out Nebraska OT Alex Lewis last month.

Eagles

• Adam Caplan reports that the Eagles will host Penn State QB Christian Hackenberg for a private workout on Friday.
• Beyond that, Caplan mentions that the Eagles also have pre-draft visits lined up with Carson Wentz, Dak Prescott, and Jared Goff.

Jaguars

• The Jaguars are hosting Alabama C Ryan Kelly and Ole Miss LT Laremy Tunsil for pre-draft visits on Wednesday. (John Oesher)
