NFL Notes: Peyton Manning, Bengals, Cowboys, Eagles, & Steelers

Peyton Manning

Peter King of MMQB.com expects the Broncos and QB Peyton Manning to eventually work out an agreement no a restructured deal that “will make neither side happy.

King mentions that Manning probably feels like he shouldn’t have to take a reduction in pay based on the fact that he’s thrown more touchdowns than anyone in football over the past three years.

However, it’s unlikely the Broncos will get as much cap savings from the move as they’re likely hoping to, according to King.

Bengals

Cowboys

Cowboys QB Tony Romo and TE Jason Witten have reportedly been working to keep RB DeMarco Murray in Dallas, according to Peter King.

Even so, Murray will test the open market before discussing a new contract with the Cowboys.

King mentions that Murray really wants to be back with the Cowboys next year, so it will be interesting to see what kind of offers he receives in the coming weeks.

Eagles

  • Jeff McLane reports that the Eagles have not approached RB LeSean McCoy about restructuring his contract, despite talk that they could do so.

Steelers
