NFL Notes: Draft, Colts, Jets & Raiders

Draft

  • Nebraska OL Alex Lewis has had or scheduled visits with the following teams: Cardinals, Titans, Giants, Colts, Eagles, Ravens, Lions, Bears, Packers, and Saints. (Mike Jurecki)
  • According to Ian Rapoport, Alabama DL Jarran Reed is meeting with the Bills over dinner.
  • Ohio State RB Ezekiel Elliott said he has completed visits with the Cowboys, Eagles, Dolphins and Bears. (Brandon George)
  • Elliott went on to say that he had a “great” workout with the Cowboys. (Brandon George)

Colts

  • George Bremer wouldn’t be surprised to see the Colts select a wide receiver during the late rounds of the draft and expects Indianapolis to sign one or two undrafted free agents at the position.

Jets

Jets GM Mike Maccagnan said the team inquired on trading up to the No. 1 overall pick, but did not offer details behind a possible offer.

The short answer is yes,” Maccagnan said, via Rich Cimini of ESPN. “The short answer is we inquired.”

Raiders

  • Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie said there’s nothing new to report regarding DE Mario Edwards Jr‘s neck injury and he is participating in the conditioning portion of the offseason program. (Scott Bair)
