NFL Notes: Randy Moss, 49ers, Colts, Packers, & Texans

Randy Moss

Former NFL WR Randy Moss indicated that he has yet to close the door on possibly returning to the NFL

“I actually have not lost the itch,” Moss told FOX’s Curt Menefee Sunday night, via Pro Football Talk. “I’ve been working out with a few guys over the offseason. I have been retired for the last two years, but you never know, Curt. But it’s the love of the game that I still have inside of me.”

Menefee responded by asking him if he’s really considering a possible return to the league.

Hey, I don’t know. The sky’s the limit for me, Curt. So we’ll just have to wait and see,” said Moss.

49ers

  • 49ers HC Jim Tomsula said of rookie RB Jarryd Hayne: “He’s making a great case for himself, but there’s still a long way to go.”

Colts

  • Mike Kaye reports that free agent S Damien Parms will work out for the Colts on Monday.

Packers

Texans

Texans HC Bill O’Brien said that no decision has been made yet regarding the team’s starting quarterback between Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallett.

“One guy will start, when I’m ready to make a decision, I’ll let you know,” O’Brien said, via the Houston Chronicle. “It’s a high-profile position.”

O’Brien added that whoever is the most consistent will end up getting the job in the end.

Consistency, game management,” O’Brien said of what it will take to win the job. “Who’s the most consistent.”
