NFL Notes: Mike Neal, Chiefs &, Ravens

Mike Neal

Free agent DE/OLB Mike Neal said that the Packers never offered him a contract to return to Green Bay.

Neal did, however, say that he intends to play in 2016, and wouldn’t rule out a return to the Packers.

My goal is definitely to play in 2016,” Neal said in an interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “There’s no doubt in my mind that I wouldn’t. I’ve never even gave it a second thought.”

Chiefs

  • Chiefs signed fourth-round CB Eric Murray to a four-year deal.
  • Chiefs signed fifth-round WR Ty Hill to a four-year deal.

Ravens

Jamison Hensley of ESPN reports that the NFL will investigate whether the Ravens for using full pads at their rookie minicamp.

The latest collective bargaining agreement prevents teams from suiting up in full pads until the start of training camp.

A Ravens’ official tells Hensley that they believed rookie minicamp didn’t fall under the same rules as the organized team activities. However, Ravens’ union representative Ben Watson informed the team that this was a violation and the coaching staff immediately pulled players from the practice field.
